"La Morsure de l'Âne" is a captivating video project that brings to life the narrative of Nathalie Papin's novel. The story follows Paco, who finds himself in a mysterious realm between life and death, where he encounters various characters and creatures. As he navigates this surreal landscape, Paco grapples with existential questions about life, death, and the decisions that define our existence. The video aims to explore our relationship with mortality and what it means to be alive, blending humor and profound reflection.
Collaborating with two other motion designers and a musician, we collectively brought the story to life. My contributions centered on 3D animations and 2D frame-by-frame animation, that complemented the narrative's ethereal and introspective themes. One of the key challenges was synchronizing the visuals with the music to ensure a cohesive and engaging storytelling experience. The team effort allowed us to blend our unique skills, resulting in a compelling visual interpretation of the novel's profound messages.
